The Words I Wish I Said
In my room I sit — my mind a haze, Drained from the endless, tiring days. Books and papers — stack up high, but all I do is wonder why? Patience wearing thin— like thread as I tried to calm down before going to bed. As I thought about everything I said. Told myself, "What a pity, I should've said everything, from the moment someone asked me,” “Are you okay?” But of course, I'm a prideful girl— not wanting to look like a prey Talking to a hunter, I repLIED, and yes, I tried, I LIEd, and I messed up. Wanted to say, “No, I'm not okay,” so badly — though I stopped myself, And from that moment, a wave of an emotion coursed through me — regret. I was mad yes, because everyone thinks I'm bad, but I'm not, I was just, sad, for I get judged whenever I get anxious Everyone will say I'm so pretentious.
