The Wish to Be
I wish to be freed Freed from all this fog I wish to have greed Wish to be more greedy than a dog. I want to be the smoke The kind that you blow out of paper Fire to keep me warm And the gentle touch of your lips The touch that'd make me feel safer. I thought we were meant to be But you replaced the nicotine With some electronic smoke machine. I lie in some corner, still waiting to be seen. I thought we were meant to be You took my heart And let me be As i bleed your infidelity i see Unfathomable trust, its broken i believe I think to myself trying to relieve all that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream.
