The Winter Never Left
Happy, warm and bright Full of Smiles π A home full of love and cheer The chimes of children's giggles The smell of deliciousness wafts from the kitchen, A picture of a happy family. Then it all falls apart Too fast, too abrupt, Waking up from the bed Coming to a realisation Then it falls apart once again. Making it past the days in despair, I hear a happy cheer Far too familiar that I turn to slowly in fear, There I see a picture far too familiar, Filled with despair I go my way. Then comes the night, Too slow, too dark, I walk towards the light Filled with despair Then paint it in red and black.
