The Winner Takes It All
I watch them glide through life, untouched, unscarred, Their triumphs ringing hollow against the silence in my chest. How cruel, this world, that rewards the careless, While those who bleed in loyalty are left to decay. I question everything — my love, my faith, my very being , yet no answer comes, only the cold echo of their laughter. The winner takes it all, they say, and I, suspended in despair, must fall. ~Anushka Dutta Gupta
