The whisper of the bike man
legend Chris ✍🏿✍🏿 The bike man said to me, “The world doesn’t see efforts or struggles; it doesn’t look twice at your pain it only embraces results.” I went home, his words haunting me like a silent prophecy whispered in daylight. I opened the Holy Book, searching for breath within the echo, and there I found it Ecclesiastes 9:11: > “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” Then my eyes burned through another Romans 9:16: > “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” And I trembled — for I realized, the thrones of men are built on dust, their victories are borrowed light. Effort may open the gate, but only mercy keeps it from collapsing. I whispered a vow that night, not to the wind but to the realm beyond sight: If I must rise, if I must last, then I must walk among the unseen, I must remain in the realm where normal mortals are not found.
