The Weight Of You
Within this Cosmos, you exist, bearing your name. The roots meant, to hold steady and firm. The strength, the foundation, the source. The one meant, to carve a path forward. Our journey began, beneath restless skies. You were not, what you were meant to be. The strength, the foundation, the source. I reached for them, all I found was pain. As I grew I saw, you-empty and unfinished. Still I hoped, you could become whole. You did, just not how you should have. Yet you didn't care, wrecking my heart with hate. With time, clarity found me. You were shaped, by something just as cruel. So I silenced my thoughts, buried my heart. And my heart cracked, beneath the weight of it all. After many endings, I stepped away. Leaving you be, and standing my own. Still my heart ached, yearning for the better you. Now I accept, and forgive you, Dad.
