The Weight of Withheld Words
Silence is what I've become It is not to cause harm Nor is it due to emotional glum So please bear no alarm It is to teach myself a lesson That words hold immense power It does not mean my ears have deafen On the contrary to strengthen my willpower The world rages with enough noise So I only wish to begin to listen more I hope to you my discovery does not annoy I will always bear attention and voice for you my heart swore My smile has not been met at the gallows Its simply learned to hide within shadows
