The Weight of Unseen Tears
The years unfold, a heavy, dragging chain, Four seasons lost, in sun and bitter rain. A road once clear, now blurred by doubt, A path untrodden, shouting "Get out! I never thought these hands would reach and plead, For simple chances, planting hopeful seed. To leave my home, with nothing but a dream, And find the world a cold, unyielding stream. To turn away, from faces I hold dear, And face the echo of unspoken fear. The failure's shadow, long and stark and deep, While silent tears are all my eyes can weep. A school elusive, a closed, unyielding door, Four years of knocking, wanting something more. The world spins on, indifferent and fast, While I remain, a moment built to last, In this dark quiet, where purpose hides its face, And questions whisper, in this empty space. A burden felt, a prayer unheard, Each day a struggle, every hopeful word Lost in the wind, a lonely, muted cry, As silent questions reach the silent sky. "Useless" whispers, they try to claim my mind, But somewhere deep, a flicker I still find. A wish unformed, a breath that yearns to be, More than this burden, for you and for me
