The weight of the world
The weight of the world The weight of the world grips me by the neck, With every breath i struggle to breathe, Every moment is an uphill battle, Held captive by my own mind, as my life becomes a test, As these heavy burdens fall upon my shoulders, For the weight of the world is tearing me down, Each day a struggle, each movement feels like a boulder, As I carry the load when body feels like it could drown, Responsibilities piled up so high, expectations that I must meet, I try to push through, put on a brave face, but the weight of it all feels like defeat. I wish for my life to slow down, for a chance to catch my breath. Can i find some peace before facing my end of life death, The weight lies heavy upon my aching shoulders, But I will carry on knocking down lifes boulders, I fight through the darkness, I push through the pain, I will not be defeated, I will not feel the strain, Sorrow may linger, struggles may persist, But I will not succumb, I will find the strength in me to not resist, For within me a fire that is burning so bright, Flames that are guiding me through the darkest night.
