"The Weight of Nothing"
I walk where silence carves the air, A shadow lost in vacant stare. No sound, no thought, no whispered plea, Just hollow hours consuming me. The sky, once vast with fire and flame, Now drips in grey, without a name. No sun, no stars, no aching moon— Just dusk that settles far too soon. My hands hold nothing, feel no weight, No thread of hope, no twist of fate. The pulse that drums within my chest Is merely proof I haven’t left. No joy, no grief, no dream to keep— Just static thoughts too numb to weep. I breathe, I blink, I stand, I stay, But part of me has slipped away. Not pain, not peace—just blank, just still, A vessel drained of love or will. Yet here I float, unseen, unspoken, A soul intact, but quietly broken.
