The Weight of Love & Solitude
I've walked where echoes softly fade, where silent ghosts in shadows wade. Loneliness, my velvet shroud, a quiet life, no voices loud. I've danced alone in moonlit air, content with whispers drifting there. Solitude, my steadfast friend, a love that asks for no amend. Love knocks, yet I bar the door, for past betrayals scar me sore. I know too well the fleeting touch, sweet at first, but never much. People wear their hollow smiles, words like riddles, hearts defiled. Trust is glass in careless hands, shattered dreams like drifting sands. God alone, my steady guide, a fortress strong where fears subside. When doubt like waves would pull me deep, His whispered peace is mine to keep. Perhaps my heart was meant to roam, to make the quiet night my home. But even stars still find their place, in endless skies of boundless grace. So, I release what weighs me down, no more questions, no more frowns. My path is His, my steps align, I leave it all to the Divine.
