The Weight of Absence
A young spirit with a bright heart navigates the twists and turns of life's darkest nights. No supporting beam, no tender touch. Lost in a faraway nation is a mother's love. As she looks far and wide, tears fall like rain. She cannot run when asked a question. The burden of grief, the weight of it, A heart alone, with no one to share it with. She travels alone through the unpredictable path of life, day by day attempting to find her place. The sorrow clings on her heart like a cloak. A continual reminder of everything they had at first. Still, she clings to the tenuous thread of hope. And says to herself in a murmur, "I'll get through this instead." Since there's still a flame glowing in her depths. A flickering light that never let's go. She feels so alone now that her mother is gone, but she knows she is resilient and her soul will return home. And she'll rise, her heart entwining, when the darkness part and the day begins to shine. She will find her own path with each step and, despite the challenges, she will face every day. She will find her route and complete her journey because she is courageous and has a pure heart.
