The Weight
Of the tiredness that hangs around me Is as pressing as the deep sea The exhaustion so persistent That I want to curl myself up In the emptiness of space Weave myself a blanket with strands of time And wrap myself up in the folds Of each hour. I want to nestle myself In the pockets of my lungs- Feel the contraction of an exhale Like a warm embrace And hold my breath.
