The Watcher's Lantern
The Lantern's light shines through the veil In the bleakest realm and the darkest hall Many search for a life time to no avail But the Watcher shines a light on all That which is revealed, goes beyond this life Shining through the veil into places unknown Showing endless tales of endless strife Illuminating the sins which men dont atone Tales of Gods, creatures and men Of kingdoms fallen and risen again, Things in the dark featsing on fears The muffled screams that nobody hears Tortured souls lost and awry The deadliest sins and smallest lie; In bleakest times and bloodiest night The Watcher delights in his lanterns light Know that the Watcher has his price His lantern will shine deep into your soul He'll know every deed, sin and vice For the Watcher always takes his toll Will you remain in ignorant bliss? Unknowing of what lays further afield Or pursue strange tales hard to miss, To your curiosity will you yeild?
