"The Wait That Never Fades"
The story ended, a long-forgotten tale But the wait persists, a lingering gale A heart once hopeful, now a heavy stone Longing for closure, a place to call home Time whispered promises, of a new dawn's light Yet the shadows linger, through endless nights The wait doesn't seem to end, a perpetual ache A memory of love, that for fate's sake I search for answers, in the fading past A reason for the wait, that will forever last But like the wind, it whispers through the trees A melancholy echo, of what used to be In this limbo of longing, I wander and roam A soul suspended, between love and letting go The wait that never fades, a bittersweet refrain A heart's lament, that echoes through the pain
