The Viewers
I've reached the point of feeling broken Like, I just woke up and finally woken I thought silence would bring healing but the bitterness just kept revealing I thought time would show me the way but im still lost and dont know how to stay i hide away so no one can see but there's nowhere to lean, nowhere for me Scared of the words when I walk by So I cross the street and wonder why I paint a smile so they won't see The weight that's crushing down on me The room gets full, and there's no space For all the hurt I can't erase "Are you okay?" they ask with care I smile, nod and hide despair Been told many times I dont fit their pretty lines So I bury myself in books To avoid their judging looks But when the words cut through my skin I run to mirrors and search within Scroll through photos one by one Chasing approval until it's done I'm one who cares about the viewers because i care too much what they think It pulls me down to the brink i wake up and pretend I'm fine Like I didn't drown in tears last night Just chasing light that is now hard to find Hoping peace will ease my mind just a kid trying to grow but this know won't let me go maybe it's better if im not seen Like something old thrown between
