The verse I'm meant for
Whenever I came near your door, My soul found what it searches for, A love that lasts forevermore. Your eyes held stars I’d not seen before, Time paused its rush, let hearts restore, Each glance a treasure to adore. Your voice, a breeze from heaven’s shore, Cooling flames that once did roar, Peace blooms where your words outpour. Your touch, a balm to every sore, Healing wounds from battles of yore, Pain fades where your hands explore. Storms calm down, waves cease to roar, Skies clear where your light I implore, Sheltered here, I fear no war. If lifetimes part, I’ll still outpour, Through deserts vast, through oceans’ core, To find the home your love stored. Your name’s the hymn my heart will chore, The compass guiding evermore, The anchor to my life’s shore. Let universes fade and soar, Let suns collapse, let time ignore, My heart stays yours, it beats your lore. From dusk to dawn, in every chore, No song exists you’re not the score— You’re the verse my soul’s meant for
