The Veil of Lust
In humanity's evolution certain things that used to be classified as a high pedigree of sin have become normalised Lying within it's bosom is misconfused lust for love What is lust? A fiery craving of the flesh in the guise as part of humanity Lust is hunger wearing its most honest face. It is the sudden, animal surge that short-circuits thought It is the only sin that feels like salvation while you’re committing it Lust doesn’t wait. It is the heat that rises when a stranger’s wrist brushes yours in a crowded place and every nerve ending votes to follow Scientifically: a cocktail of dopamine and testosterone served cold It is the moment the soul leans over and whispers to the flesh, “Betray me.” Lust is not the enemy of love; it is love’s reckless younger brother who arrives first, impatiently enters the house through the broken window, and starts eating dessert before anyone has even said grace. I have tasted of its fruits a sweet bitter taste A flavour lingering on the tongue and in the mind after it fades away it leaves marks on the flesh However true Love stares at our imperfections Undeserving it calls us into its warm embrace showing us what Love truly is Choose Jesus. Always. -By JayQuill
