Being him was what I was taught. To be him meant I could have no fault. To be acknowledged meant I had become him. To be loved, I had to destroy my life. My life began to vanish, And his replaced mine. He was my sun, blazing through morning. I was the moon, surviving on borrowed light. He was the hero, I the stunt double. Slowly I forgot who I was.
