The Unseen Wound
A deep hurt lives in my heart, From the one who should have loved me from the start. You, Dad, were the first to break me, Leaving me feeling broken and alone. You hurt me so badly, I felt like I couldn't breathe, Like my heart was shattered, and I'd never find peace. I watched other daughters hug their dads with love, While I was scared of you, and felt like I wasn't enough. Their happy tears, a contrast to my own pain, As you made me feel like I was nothing, just a stain. I tried to love you, like others do, But you didn't care, and it hurt me through. Now, boys scare me, and I don't know why, Because of what you did, and how you made me cry. You took away my childhood, my happy years, And left me with scars that time won't erase.
