The Unanswered Sky
Is life truly fair, or God not near, In moments steeped in doubt and fear? Why must we suffer, pray unheard, And hope for answers, word by word? We lift our pleas, with spirits torn, Yet still the worst arrives each morn. Have we done wrong, my family and I? These questions haunt beneath a troubled sky. Are we like Job, in trials deep, Or does God not answer, or not keep Our cries within His sacred ear? The dark clouds linger, ever near. We're stuck, it seems, in life's rough fray, No one succeeds, no brighter day. To defeat poverty, a strength so vast, Perhaps too much for us to cast. Yet "one day things will change," my mother's voice, A distant echo, leaving me no choice But to hold that thread, however thin, And pray for the light to finally begin.
