The two Great commandments

In the grand tapestry of existence, two threads intertwine, The dual imperatives of love, forever divine. To love the Lord, our God, with every fiber of our being, And to love our fellow humans, as ourselves, in perfect seeing. The first commandment's mantle, we're called to wear with pride, To love the Lord with fervor, our hearts and souls inside. With reverence and awe, we approach the divine throne, And in worship, we surrender, our wills, our hearts, our own. But love for God is not a solitary, isolated deed, For it's in loving our neighbors, that our devotion is freed. The second commandment's whisper, echoes through our days, To love our fellow travelers, in joy, in sorrow, in praise. To love the human, as ourselves, in empathy and kindness true, To see the divine spark within, and cherish it anew. For in loving our fellow humans, we love the Lord above, In the intricate web of love, our hearts beat with a single love. The love we offer to the human, is the love we offer to God, In the sacrament of relationship, our devotion is made whole. For when we love the human, we love the divine design, And in loving our neighbors, we fulfill the grand commandment's shrine.
