The Two Faces of Love
Love is complex, Full of doubts and replies. Sometimes, it feels so perfect, Other times, like a stab that belies. Love is deep and divine, Love is dangerous, addicting. Love can be noble or malign, Its spark is bold and electrifying. In stories, Love lasts forever, In tales, it binds hearts as one. But Love can be hell’s endeavor, Leaving wounds that can’t be undone. It’s funny, I’d say, How Love feels like a warm stream in May, How one feeling can cause such pain, How emotions shift as years wane. Intense or light, Forever or slight, Lovely or grim, Joyful or dim. I can’t stop thinking how much it can ache, How deeply it cuts, how hearts it can break. I can’t understand, with tales so bright, How Love hides memories shadowed in night. And so I conclude, with colors or pain, The two faces of Love forever remain.
