The tunnel
I walk through a dark tunnel. I am just looking for the light—some happiness in my life. Being in the dark is too long. I am just hoping that one day that the light will stay on. So I can find my way there. I want to shine like a shooting star. But someone overturns the light. So I get lost in myself. I find myself in my writing. The only way I can express myself. But the light never stays on. So my feelings change. One minute I feel myself, and another, I don't. I show be thinking of living a Survivor life. But darkness keeps bringing me back to those dark days. The past has me trapped in myself—scared of the unknown. Hoping tomorrow will be a better day. I am trying to make time for myself. So I can focus on my feelings. So I can write with my heart. Not a broken heart. I see the light when I write because I can let my feeling down. Writing is my voice when I don't express my emotion. It is a piece of me that I keep inside. I keep it close to my heart. Because I want to be myself, I must learn to love myself again because my past took me to a dark place. Now I am trying to live a salvation life. Not a victim. I will have to keep walking forward. I hope I see the light at the end of tuning. I won't go back to
