" The Truth We Pretend "
Tell me someone, what,s right or wrong, Why answers never last for long. What,s real or fake, what,s truth or lie, When both can change before our eyes... What,s funny now, might loose its charm A jokes that fades by passing time. Why can,t we find the final clue, To see what,s false and what is true... We search for answers every day, But none of them seem here to stay. No perfect guide, no simple rule, Just these feelings that we use as tools.... Why is there no surety.. To make our mind wonder free.. We trust our thoughts, but don,t we see, We are guessing what reality might be... What,s love and hate, what,s joy or pain? They blur together once again. What,s dark and light, what,s wrong or right, Can shift so quickly in our own sight... We build our beliefs so strong and high Then see them weaken and say goodbye. So who can say what,s truly clear, When everyone has doubt and fear... For every heart believes its a song, Of what is right and what is wrong. And maybe, in the end we see, The truth is just what we choose to be...
