The Train We Call Good
We tell ourselves that it's alright, That in the dark, there’s shining light. The train, it roars, it tears apart, But we convince ourselves it’s smart. We say it’s good, we say it’s fine, This endless noise, this constant grind. But deep inside, we know the truth, It hurts the soul, it steals our youth. The world convinces us to stay, That this is just the price we pay. But we, the ones who feel the burn, Know there’s no good, no peace to turn. And yet, we say, “It’s all okay,” The train just moves, we walk away. But deep inside, it drags us down, A force of evil in this town.
