The Train That Never Stops
The train goes by, it shakes the ground, A constant roar, a thunder sound. Inside my room, I feel the shake, A rumbling force I can't forsake. It never halts, it never slows, Unmoved by all the pain it knows. It rushes on, it doesn't care, Leaving me here, alone, aware. Each passing sound is sharp and clear, A reminder that no help is near. The world keeps moving, but I stand still, Trapped in the echo, against my will. And though I wait for some relief, The train just passes, cold and brief. It doesn't stop, it doesn't see, The weight of silence inside of me.
