The Time Traveller
The Time Traveller by Jack A.S. Dunce Another world and in another time, it maybe there where I'll find a place where my watch can keep track of present time and where my compass shows true north on its face. The roads in my map are mere byways full of deep pot holes and detours. The one I'm on led to a dead end maze, albeit so picturesque in the brochures. I've looked up to the stars for guidance, but to me they just don't seem to align: Polaris has lost more than brilliance; Cassiopeia is in her decline. In a world bustling in the billions, most are automatons with hearts of stone, I may have gone too far by eons in search of a place where I'm not alone. ©️pgmr 11/03/2024
