The Thoughts...
The Thoughts… The farther I wander away from me, The more naked soul I begin to see. How weary I’ve grown of my own being, Once wild in desire, now all in fleeing. Now I sit still where the dust has lain, Silent and calm, abandoned of pain. Where has this heart gone, set free from me? Lost in my thoughts like a leaf in the sea. I’ve scattered myself in my own remain, As if someone within has ceased in silence. Desire runs as deep as the ocean’s depths, Yet there is nothing left to chase. Still, in the hush of the evening air, I feel my spirit rising there. A whisper born out of the graveyard, Echoing softly in my ear. The more I gaze, the less my heart yearns, But only for this heart, the soul returns. ---bhakta
