The teenage brain
A repeated cycle my life became And this didn’t just happen in one day Shakey hands, and sweaty palms All I try to do is stay calm The overwhelming pain in my mind All the problems in my life underlined A mask I wear with it too Many say that I always look very blue Anxiety and depression rest in my head Where I spend most days lying in bed Negative things fill my thoughts The pain I can feel in every spot The smile I put on for the show Fools most the people I know Drowning in the deep end with no hope Silently on my cry for help I choke Hoping someone can see through The fake smile I put on for all of you A silent battle in a mind of a teen Is the kind you feel that no one see’s Till the child ends it all in flames And leaving everyone wondering why they hid the pain For many do this because No one would be here if I was Showing my true colors after all Tried it once and all that person let me do was fall All we do with are feelings is lie All the adults still wonder why We hide the way we truly feel And put on this smile to seal the deal A silent battle that will always remain Inside the head of the teenage brain
