The Surrender
"O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!" These words are easier said than done. Oftentimes, the harder route is the best route to take for it takes reflection and hardships to be who God created you to be. Suffering is painful and something that many of us do not want to go through, but what many people don't understand is the hidden beauty of suffering. Our suffering leads to our sanctification and a closer to relationship with God. Looking back at the hard times I've experienced, I've come to learn that the hardest route is often the best route to journey through. Surrendering all the pain and suffering to God may not be easy, but trusting in Him is the best decision someone could make for his/her sanctification. A priest once told me that one's worst fear should not death, but one's separation from God and I wholeheartedly believe this to be true. To be separated from God is a personal hell that no one should ever go through because it leaves you spiritually empty and void. Coming home to God and surrendering to Him requires humility and the openness of one's heart to eternal paradise with God in His kingdom.
