the sunset
The sky is so pretty, Is what everyone says on summer days with a sunset that should be guarded like the mona lisa, They pull out their phones, As if it can capture the beauty, It looks to dull, Adjust the saturation and brightness of their camera, Snap from different angles, But the vastness of the sky is lost, As they remove their phones that block their view of the sky, They finally see the sunset, Not as spectacular as before, Rather disappointing, Then one day their phone cracks making contact with the floor, or it drowns in some body of water, All those sunsets lost, As if our phones can store all of our memories, Except their owners don't have a memory of looking at pretty sunsets, No, they prefer the camera lens over their own And so they forget and the clouds keep moving without them.
