The sunflower
The sunflower blooms in golden bliss And gives the gentle winds a kiss The water soars to meet the skies But plant alone cannot suffice It's petals droop and start to wilt With broken pride her fate is sealed Root hairs awake from their beauty sleep The aqua pearls now theirs to keep They dance along to a soundless beat The xylem their very own paradise street Gracefully they'll bless the faded glory And let the plant live on to share her story With more pride she sings songs of praise To her beloved root which shall her despair erase
