"The Suit I Married Her In"
I caught myself once more on TikTok, checking if you had sent me one like you used to. Instead my friend sent me a video of a woman not knowing what to wear to her best friend's funeral and asking what the audience would wear. I came across a comment that said "the suit I married her in" and it made me think and I realized I had done something similar. It hasn't been long, so I remember. I remember being excited to get dressed that day because it was the day I was planning to ask you the most important question I had asked you. I put on the exact outfit I wore the day that I found out you liked me, I remember such things and more. Not only did that day not end how I would have liked it to, but it doubled down as a funeral might I say. This day brought an end to our relationship, an end to my sensitiveness, and an end to the grand loverboy I was. The clothes I opened my heart to love in, are the same ones I shut it back closed in.
