The stranger in the mirror.
Daily, I see an unknown woman in the mirror. I never acknowledge her presence, Pretend she doesn't exist, Cover her up as though she's nothing. I envy those I pass by in the corridors, Strangers whose names I do not know, I truly wish to be them. Jealousy, jealousy, when I see those I love Look at them too, How can they admire what I ignore every day? Every night as I pass by the mirror, She yearns for my attention, But I pretend she doesn't exist. The God of heaven wishes for her to see, But she is locked in a vault, Chained by jealousy, envy, and self-denial.
