"The stranger in the dark"
I saw the image— a face I’ve never known, flickering in the shadows where no one should have stood alone. I don’t know what it was. Was it real… or just a dream unraveling? I wanted to run— God, I wanted to run— but something held me, something cold, something unseen. Step by step, it drew near. My breath hitched, my limbs turned to stone. And though fear screamed through my veins, my body disobeyed. It came closer— no eyes, yet it stared. No mouth, yet I heard it whisper my name.
