The Storyteller
With eyes softly shut, he welcomed the flame, Wisdom's whispers twirled, calling his name. He recalled innocent days, so vibrant and free, a child chasing fireflies by the creek's gentle plea. "I once walked as you do," he spoke from the heart, "A child of the Earth, where dreams first depart." "Now before you, I sit, I give you words with deep grace, for I am Sitting Bear, I gift you with warmth, my embrace. This treasure, dear one, you shall carry ahead, to share across plains when my journey has fled. Though my form may dissolve, in spirit I’ll stay, in the flicker of flames, I’ll guide you each day." "When dragonflies linger, or soft breezes sway, Know that I’m with you, in each gentle way. In Sunlight’s warm touch, in Moon’s silver glow, in twinkling of Stars, where your dreams freely flow. Remember, dear child, the lessons I’ve shared, For I am your Elder, your Teacher; my story declared."
