The Stillness of Arriving
The frantic clock is silenced now at last, The shadow of the lonely days has passed. No more the endless question, "when will be?" For here you stand, eternally with me. The air is thick with all the moments lost, Now paid in full, no matter what the cost. The world outside dissolves, a distant hum, For in this space, our waiting has become A simple breath, a touch, a gaze so deep, A solemn promise that our hearts will keep. My hand finds yours, and in that resting place, I finally see the comfort of your face. There is no need for fireworks or loud cheer, Just the soft certainty of having you near. A profound stillness settles on the soul, Making the broken spirit fully whole. Every fear I held, every tear I shed, Is now replaced by words that go unsaid. This is the harbor where the anchors drop, The final summit where the climb can stop. The future is no longer just a dream, But the clear, flowing water of a stream. We are together, and the joy of this, Is a forever sealed within one kiss.
