The Stars Have Nothing
I climb the mountains I look over the valleys The scene is breathtaking Covered in green Peppered with flowers By the artistic hand of God A lovely sight to behold As beautiful as it is The valleys have nothing on the stars I sit in a pasture Gazing over the horizon The Sun is setting So beautiful, so warm Gradient colors across the sky Painted by the brush of the Lord A lovely sight to behold As beautiful as it is The sunsets have nothing on the stars I stare over the ocean So intricate, so blue Life of all kinds From the coral reefs To a shoal of hammerheads God placed it all there for us to see A lovely sight to behold As beautiful as it is The oceans have nothing on the stars I feel the cold on my arm A thunderstorm is brewing Amongst the chaos Beyond the lightning There's beauty in the clouds God made this possible A lovely sight to behold As beautiful as it is The storms have nothing on the stars I lay on the ground In awe by the sight above me In black and white stars paint the night It's so majestic, so warm The feeling of wonder is like a hug Each star was placed by God A lovely sight to behold As beautiful as it is The stars have nothing on you I stare into your eyes
