The Stain of Being
In shadows deep, I lie unseen, A visage marred, a soul unclean. Their gazes pierce, they turn, retreat, My presence fouls the air they greet. Each whispered word, a venomed dart, A serpent’s hiss upon my heart. Alone I tread, a cursed decree, All find disgust in wretched me.
