The Song of Man: Invocation
Sing through me, Oh sweet voiced muse, All knowing Clio, Goddess of history. Sing the song of humanity, With all of its thorns and rose. Sing of our shimmering glory Shining bright Unmatched in light only by Helios himself. Sing of our shameful woes, Dark spots, Unmatched in shame only by Sisyphus and Tantalus. Sing through me, oh goddess. Sing to me, oh goddess. And the goddess whispers "Cantae Poetitae" From Africa, we did come. Bearing metal and wood. We tamed nature, Made wolves into dogs. As we traveled the world, Seeing each part with our human eyes. Reaching out from Eurasia and Africa To Americas. We trimmed the sails and called the many islands of the Pacifica home.
