The Solitary Beauty
Today I saw a strange lone plant among the gentle green I stared at it in wonder, its quiet mystery unseen I thought of how it stood there, so different yet so bright Holding its own story in the soft and silent light Does it feel a little proud to stand apart that way, Or lonely in its difference as the others sway? Does it fear the world around it or rise above with grace, Finding strength and beauty in its own small place? And humans are no different we carry hidden fears Some feel bold and distant, some hide behind their tears. The man who seems indifferent may feel unsure inside Unsure if he should open up or simply run and hide Maybe that is why we love in ways that aren’t the same Each heart with its own longing, each flame a different flame. Like that lone plant in the herbs, we grow in our own way Unique, unsure, yet beautiful in what we silently convey.
