The Skills of The Trades An artist can turn stone to silk, and a blank canvas into entire worlds. A poet can weave simple words into enchanting stories, and emotional fantasies. A builder can raise structures and revive wreckage with raw material and the hands of iron. A soldier can protect the ones you love without the honor of being acquainted, with sword and shield and a mind of steel. A mother can love and nurture her young with skin as soft as silk and a voice as sweet as honey. And a king can lead others without an act of violence, whilst rising from the grave. These are the skills of the trades Though I have the eyes of the artist, the ideas of the poet, the hands of the builder, the sword of the soldier, and the love of the mother.
