The Siren's Song
Within my mind's abyss, a dangerous allure, A person who, though harmful, I can't endure. A toxic addiction, like a haunting spell, I know they're bad, but still, I cannot quell. Their presence, like a drug, consumes my days, A bittersweet addiction, in so many ways. I'm aware of the damage, the pain they bring, Yet, in this tangled web, I'm still willing to cling. My mental health withers, with each passing hour, But in their twisted love, I find a peculiar power. I'm addicted to the chaos, the highs and the lows, A rollercoaster ride that no one else knows. It's a battle within, a storm deep within my soul, To break free from this addiction, to finally gain control. But in the darkness of this love, I'm ensnared, A conflict between the heart and mind, in despair. For knowing they're harmful, it's clear as day, Yet, addicted to their presence, I cannot look away. In this struggle for my mental health's embrace, I search for strength to break free, to find my own space.
