The silent sky
In a corner where the silence grows, A boy sits still as the cold wind blows. Eyes cast low, no voice, no song, He wonders how it all went wrong. His shadow clings like a loyal friend, The kind that stays till the bitter end. But flesh and heart crave warmer ties— Not empty echoes or silent skies. The world outside just rushes past, While he stays stuck in memories cast. Laughter's a ghost, love's just a word, And comfort's something he's never heard. Tears fall slow, like soft rainfall, Each drop a story he can't recall. He hides behind a broken smile, Hoping someone sees, even for a while. But no one's near, no hand, no call, No gentle voice to catch his fall. He screams inside but no one hears, His soul soaked deep in unseen tears. Yet still he waits, a fragile light, Flickering softly in the night. For maybe one day, not so far, Someone will find him just as they are.
