The silent River
I was once a river, Flowing steadily and strongly through the forest, The whispers of the river_my song, Echoing through every corner of the forest Calling on every creature to listen closely To the message I carried, Now The river is painfully silent, No longer flowing, for the pathway is blocked, Blocked by heavy rocks of pain, doubt and distraction, The river craves to be free It misses the strong words that once flowed through it, It yearns for its whispers to flood the forest once again Even in silence, the river dreams, Of rain to wash away the heavy rocks, Of voices rising one more time, To be heard by every soul of the green kingdom, To be the heartbeat of the forest once again, A reminder that I was never truly gone!
