The Shore
How fast the time goes My little feet on the swing set Now walk my daughter to the shore The shore that'!! snatch my little girl from me and make her into a person I'll vaguely know. she came running to me, to reveal the pain she's concealed from the world's know, The same way I once ran to my mother. I wonder if my mother ever sees herself in me, Like the way I see myself is her. I wonder if she notices the pain i carry within me because, Today, on this shore, I am scared. Scared to let her go. My little girl will turn into a stranger burying her innocence apart from me Thus I wish my mother would see my eyes, when my lips lie with a fake smile, For, I too wish to see the tears my girl hides from me.
