for July 31st the morning Heaven turned toward herself This morning did not need thunder to feel like a storm. It arrived in quiet the kind of quiet that holds truth between its teeth. July is leaving packing its bags with all the maybes, the half held dreams, and the pages where she searched for her name in someone else’s story. But not today. Not anymore. Today, she turns. Away from waiting for words he never said. Away from the smile that always came with an apology tucked beneath it. Today, she comes home. To her. To the girl with ideas too wild to be dimmed.
