"The Shape of Emptiness”
Emptiness hums in the hollow chest, A silence thick, a house unblessed, It wears no face, it bears no name, Yet every room still feels the same. It walks with me in shadowed grace, Fills every pause, each open space, A whisper draped in quiet sound, A weightless weight that holds me down. But even voids have edges drawn, A night retreats before the dawn, The echo fades though it resists, There are limits to emptiness. It cannot steal what’s yet to bloom, Nor choke the light in every room, It stumbles where the soul ignites, It cowers in the smallest light. So let it ache, let stillness stay But know it cannot find its way Beyond the reach of hope’s soft flame, Where even loss forgets its name. And when it dares to grow too wide, The heart remembers what survived That even in the blackest mist, There are limits to emptiness.
