The Shadows of Sovan's Night
In the depths of the midnight gloom, Young Sovan lay in his silent room. The moon, pale as a ghostly flame, Peered through the window, whispering his name. A creak, a tap, then silence fell, The air grew thick with a haunting spell. The walls, they trembled, the lights went cold, A story of terror was about to unfold. His breath grew shallow, heartbeats raced, As unseen footsteps began to trace. They circled his bed, with an icy air, A presence so dark, it raised every hair. The shadows danced, with wicked glee, Their whispers crawled like serpents free. "Come, Sovan, come, we’ve waited long, Join the shadows where you belong." He tried to scream, but his voice was still, Frozen by fear, against his will. The night stretched on, a torment’s reign, And Sovan knew he'd never be the same again. Then silence fell, the room was clear, But Sovan’s mind stayed gripped with fear. For once the darkness has had its taste, It leaves behind a haunting trace.
